We believe
That God is One, uncreated, eternally existing in three undivided persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The Father is the initiator and sustainer of all things.
The Son is the creator of everything seen or unseen.
That God is revealed in the splendour of His creation and through the written word, the Bible.
That God is Love, and in his perfect love He created us in his likeness to enjoy a perfect and eternal relationship with Him. He also gave us free will, but we chose to disobey God, and preferred to pursue our own selfish desires which the Bible calls "sin".
That God is Holy, He hates sin. And because all humans are sinful, that relationship with God was broken. Separated from God, death became our destiny.
That God is Just. He profoundly loves all people; but the death penalty remained no matter what we try to do, we cannot save ourselves from eternal death.
That for our salvation, and as He promised all along in the Bible, God the Father sent His One and only Son, the Christ, the anointed One. He became human like us, called Jesus' conceived by the Holy Spirit in the womb of the virgin Mary, His earthly mother. He remained sinless throughout His earthly life and died in our place on a cross, taking upon himself all our sins.
That the Good News called the Gospel is that Jesus has defeated death as He was raised again on the third day and is alive today back with the Father. The Bible tells us that He will return again to judge the living and the dead, and to establish His Kingdom on earth.
That God the Father is compassionate, and He welcomes everyone who believes in His Son, to have eternal life with Him.
That all true believers in Jesus the Christ are called Christians, being baptised in His name, living together as one body called the Church, proclaiming Jesus as Lord of their life and worshiping Him as Head of the Church.
That the Holy Spirit is alive in the Church, empowering all believers and helping them to remain in Christ and actively represent Him on earth, and to share the Good News through word, sign, and deed, and also teaching them to do the same, until His return.
